Draw one of the oldest areas of Cambridge - and meet historians, local experts, artists, musicians and dancers - at venues all around Castle Hill during its Open Day.
- Meet on Saturday, 21 July at 12 noon outside Kettle’s Yard Gallery (Castle St, CB3 0AQ).
- Meet back there at 2pm for the group photo
- Then stroll down the hill to Thai street food restaurant Thaikhun (3-5 Quayside, CB5 8AB) for lunch, a chat and a chance to see what your fellow sketchers have created.

Open day events will include:
- Dance from internationally renowned company Casson & Friends
- Family art making on Northampton Green and in Kettle’s Yard studio
- Meet the archivist at Kettle’s Yard House and see the exhibition of sculptor Antony Gormley
- Story telling, music and cream teas at St Giles’ Church
- Mat weaving, drawing and poetry in St Peter’s Church and churchyard
- Tea and cakes at Castle Street Methodist Church, plus play area
- Tours of the New Hall Art Collection (with over 400 works of art by women artists from around the world) and the Murray Edwards Garden
- County archive records on display in the foyer of Shire Hall.
- Visit the former Nuclear Bunker around the corner.
